Accessibility Statement

BaseLoom wants every person who uses our apps at work to be able to do so, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across https://app.baseloom.app, including the app pages, the sandbox, checkout links and our legal pages. This is our target, not a claim of full conformance: we have not yet had an independent audit.

What we aim to do

These are the practices we work to. We have not had an independent audit, so treat them as aims rather than a guarantee for every page.

  • Use a consistent layout, headings and labelled form fields across all apps.
  • Keep text contrast at or above the WCAG AA ratios in both light and dark themes, and do not rely on colour alone to show a finding's severity.
  • Make every function reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Offer Outputs as downloadable files (such as CSV, text and document formats) that can be opened in your own assistive tools.
  • Self-host fonts and avoid motion that cannot be turned off.
  • Check new and changed pages with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen reader testing.

Known limitations

  • Framework components. The apps are built on Streamlit. Some of its built-in components (such as file uploaders, select boxes, tabs and expanders) have accessibility gaps outside our direct control, including incomplete labels for screen readers and focus that can move unexpectedly when a page refreshes.
  • Data grids. Interactive result tables can be hard to navigate with a screen reader, and cell-by-cell announcement may be incomplete. Every table can be downloaded as a CSV file for use in a spreadsheet or screen reader.
  • Charts. Some charts do not yet have full text alternatives. Where a chart appears, the underlying figures are also shown in a table or available for download.
  • Uploaded and generated documents. Draft letters and converted files follow the structure of the source data and may not be tagged for accessibility. We can provide an accessible version on request (see below).
  • Third-party pages. Checkout and the customer portal are provided by our Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments, and their accessibility is outside our control. If you have difficulty there, contact us and we will help you complete the purchase or cancellation another way.

We are working to reduce these limitations and review this statement at least once a year.

Requesting an accessible format or reporting a barrier

If you cannot use part of the Service, or need an Output, document or legal page in another format (for example plain text, a tagged PDF or a larger-print version), please write to support@baseloom.app with "Accessibility" in the subject. Tell us the app or page, what you were trying to do and the format you need. You can ask for a human reply rather than the automated assistant.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within 2 business days and to provide the requested format, or a working alternative, within 10 business days. If an accessibility barrier stops you using an app you pay for and we cannot provide a workable alternative, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused prepaid period.

BaseLoom sells to businesses only, and is operated by one person. Under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), microenterprises that provide services are exempt from its service requirements, and BaseLoom currently qualifies as a microenterprise. We do not rely on that exemption: we follow WCAG 2.2 AA as our standard because the people who use our apps deserve it, and because our customers may themselves have accessibility duties under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508, the UK Equality Act 2010, the Indian Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and similar laws.
